I just looked at a video of that accident and wondered how fast those cars must have been. The road where it happened is no highway, and there is a speed limit of ~43mph (70kmh). (I know that road) From the scene it appears that the lexus was taking the corner on the wrong side of the road and the bmw was triing to avoid the accident. I have no other explanation why the lexus would stop on the left side of the road after the collision. The police also says the lexus was on the left side of the road, when the bmw came around the corner and hit the lexus.
